When you buy a Soundtrack - Various Artists album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Lead single “Misirlou (Dick Dale and Hils Del-Tones)” and “Royale With Cheese ((From Film))” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is one of the best Cd’s Soundtrack - Various Artists has dropped to date. This is my first Soundtrack - Various Artists Album and i must say i am blown away.
I’ve found myself listening to Royale With Cheese ((From Film)) back to back and back many times. Jungle Boogie (Kool and The Gang) is Soundtrack - Various Artists’s best work in years. Let’s Stay Together (Al Green) is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Bustin Surfboards (The Tornades) is perfect. In Lonesome Town (Ricky Nelson) full palet of sound is used by Soundtrack - Various Artists to accentuate the presentation. Son Of A Preacher Man (Dusty Springfield) is a very catchy tune. Bullwinkle (Part Ii; The Centurians) is a great opener for Pulp Fiction. You Never Can Tell (Chuck Berry) is almost impossible to review. Girl You’ll Be A Woman Soon (Urge Overkill) without a doubt is the standout song of Pulp Fiction. If Love Is A Red Dress (Maria Mckee) - A classic Soundtrack - Various Artists track. Comanche (The Revels) is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Soundtrack - Various Artists released so far. There is astounding mix of music in Flowers On The Wall (The Statler Brothers). Soundtrack - Various Artists sings Personality Goes A Long Way ((From Film)) in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Surf Rider (The Lively Ones) is a fine track on any terms. Ezekiel 25-17 ((From Film)) very upbeat.
