Soundtrack - Various Artists’s debut, ‘Beverly Hills Cop II’, does not fit easily into one genre. Beverly Hills Cop II is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Since completing 1995’s ‘36 Lovers - Ready For The World’, Soundtrack - Various Artists fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I wish that “Beverly Hills Cop II” album was instrumental.
I Can’t Stand It - Sue Ann is a very catchy tune. Cross My Broken Heart - The Jets on Beverly Hills Cop II is solid and easy to listen to. Listening to Love/Hate - Pebbles you can hear that Soundtrack - Various Artists has still amazing chemistry with band members. Lyrics of Better Way - James Ingram are precise and evocative. I hope to keep hearing Soundtrack - Various Artists works for a long time to come. There is cool mix of music in In Deep - Charlie Sexton. The song Hold On - Corey Hart ending is my favorite… so catchy! It’s such an underrated song. Shakedown - Bob Seger is excellent and different song. All of songs on Beverly Hills Cop II and have something to say letting alone All Revved Up - Jermaine Jackson.
