When you buy a Sol Invictus album, you know exactly what you’re getting! The Killing Tide is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Since completing 1991’s ‘Like A Sword’, Sol Invictus fulfilled their contract with Columbia Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
I have all of Sol Invictus’s tracks and In A Silent Place is probably the most his introspective effort. Let Us Prey is the song that really did it for me. The Killing Tide - Check out that bassline! From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. I think The Man Next Door Is Very Strange is the best song Sol Invictus has ever done. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. The Wild Hunt - Something Wicked This Way Comes - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. A Figure On A Beach gets you up and jumping.
