Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Slaughter’s new album to that on ‘Fear No Evil’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Fear No Evil isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Slaughter was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Slaughter and Fear No Evil together. Fear No Evil is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Excellent vocals and musical performances. Searchin’ sets the tone for the entire album. It’ll Be Alright - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Let The Good Times Roll is a amazing sing-along. Breakdown ‘N’ Cry is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Divine Order is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Slaughter released so far. Yesterday’s Gone is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Fear No Evil have ended. Prelude is probably one of Slaughter’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Outta My Head is really the reason why I recommend buying Fear No Evil. After few listenings I started to like Unknown Destination more and more.
