It’s natural for Simon Ellis to take a stab at ‘My House’ considering her long-professed love for B.B. King. This disc has all of the essential Simon Ellis classics. Houdini carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Strange
Simple and heartfelt closing track Strange closes Houdini on a high note. Opening track Beyond Recognition shows the best of Simon Ellis. I came to like Don’t Know Really. Too Late without a doubt is the standout song of Houdini. Red Dwarf is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. What In The World Is Going On is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Braincloud Feat. Bjork.
