I’ve found myself listening to The Isla Waters back to back and back many times. Silly Wizard sings The TWA Brothers in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Nice and different song. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. The first time I listened to Monymusk Lads I was struck by its cool sound. The Ferryland Sealer is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Fhear A Bhata (The Boatman) is a great opener for Caledonia’s Hardy Sons. Jack Cunningham’s Farewell To Benbecula/Sweet Molly is the exquisite blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Broom O’ The Cowdenknowes is absolutely incredible.
