There is so much to love about Silke Bischoff, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. When you buy a Silke Bischoff album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Since completing 1993’s ‘The Guardians Of The 7th Universe’, Silke Bischoff fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. The Guardians Of The 7th Universe and No Paradise is really good.
No Paradise is the funkiest number on the album. On The Other Side ‘93 motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Some of the arrangements found on The Man On The Wooden Cross are surprisingly edgy. The Crystal Lake is the album’s biggest hit, I think. The Parting was the first single release from the album The Man On The Wooden Cross. For a Short Moment is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. A great put together song. Overall a nice softer song. Silke Bischoff allows each song to breathe and flourish.
