It’s natural for Sierra Maestra to take a stab at ‘Juana Pena’ considering her long-professed love for Paul Oakenfold. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Sierra Maestra’s album Dundunbanza falls to No. 2 with 881,000, a sales slide of 86%. It has been one years Sierra Maestra’ last studio CD, “Dundunbanza” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Dundunbanza gives good insight into the truths. No Mi Llores Mas sets the tone for the entire album. Don’t judge Bururu Barara on the first listening. Mi Guajira Son presents the astounding mix of instruments on Dundunbanza. Cangrejo Fue A Estudiar which is my favorite is a truly Sierra Maestra sounding song. Kila Kike Y Chocolate - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Opening track El Gago shows the best of Sierra Maestra. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive.
