‘Shania Twain’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. There is so much to love about Shania Twain, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Lead single “What Made You Say That” and “You Lay a Whole Lot of Love on Me” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
You Lay a Whole Lot of Love on Me is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Dance With the One That Brought You - A classic Shania Twain track. All of songs on Shania Twain and have something to say letting alone Still Under the Weather. God Ain’t Gonna Getcha for That is astounding. Got a Hold on Me - My least favorite song on this album. There Goes the Neighborhood is the more seemingly obscure song on Shania Twain that bear up best to repeated listening. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. When He Leaves You is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Shania Twain. Crime of the Century on Shania Twain is solid and easy to listen to.
