Since Savage last CD (Don’t Cry - Greatest Hits) on Sparrow Records back in 1994, I have felt a massive void in my life. Don’t Cry - Greatest Hits isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Savage’s album Don’t Cry - Greatest Hits falls to No. 2 with 484,000, a sales slide of 91%. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Celebrate is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Voice and instruments in Don’r Cry Tonight (grand mix) complement each other. Don’t Cry Tonight is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Don’t Cry Tonight (continental mix) - My least favorite song on this album. Don’t Cry Tonight (e.u.r.o. mix) is the most memorable and gorgeous. This track is a great song that still never gets old. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Don’t Cry Tonight (original version) is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Don’t Cry Tonight (space mix) sets the tone for the entire album. Don’t Cry Tonight (voice mix) is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. In Don’t Leave Me full palet of sound is used by Savage to accentuate the presentation. In Eyes of the Moon the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. The song feels complete. Love is Death is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Don’t Cry - Greatest Hits is Only You. Only You (tech mix) one is one of the better boring ones. This song stands out greatly from the others. Strangelove is a fine track on any terms. Savage breathes new life into the music in Ten Years Ago. Time make listening to Savage like being in some sort of time warp.
