Since Sacramentum last CD (Far Away From The Sun) on SixSteps records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. Lead single “Fog’s Kiss” and “Far Away From The Sun” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. four years ago, Sacramentum briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Far Away From The Sun”. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Far Away From The Sun - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Blood Shall Be Spilled - To me, this is the best song on the Far Away From The Sun. The opening track When Night Surrounds Me is very much like you would expect from other albums. Cries From A Restless Soul is one of the coolest songs Sacramentum has ever recorded. Far Away From The Sun couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Obsolete Tears. In Beyond All Horizons Sacramentum spins a tale you want to hear to the end. I believe The Vision and The Voice is one of the most cool, heartfelt songs ever written. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin.
