After debuting at No. 1 last week, Roy Buchanan’s album Sweet Dreams: The Anthology (CD 1) falls to No. 2 with 143,000, a sales slide of 54%. It has been twelve years Roy Buchanan’ last studio CD, “Sweet Dreams: The Anthology (CD 1)” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This is one of the best Cd’s Roy Buchanan has dropped to date. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Sweet Dreams: The Anthology (CD 1).
Black Autumn is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. What sets The Story Of Isaac apart is Roy Buchanan’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. There’ll Always Be pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. You can find feelings on this piece of art. This song is dynamic and dramatic. The Messiah Will Come Again is perfect. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Sweet Dreams: The Anthology (CD 1) is Tribute To Elmore James. I’ve found myself listening to After Hours back to back and back many times. Five String Blues is the song that really did it for me. C.C. Rider (Live) - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. My Baby Says She’s Gonna Leave Me is probably the highlight of the album. I was truly moved when I heard Please Don’t Turn Me Away. In Country Preacher it becomes nowhere more obvious that Roy Buchanan has yet to define own style. There is cool mix of music in Wayfaring Pilgrim.
