Robert Palmer had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Lead single “Honey A” and “Honey B” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Since Robert Palmer last CD (Honey) on Sparrow Records back in 1994, I have felt a massive void in my life. Enjoy the show.
Honey B is a cool song and it grows on you. You’re Mine has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Robert Palmer’s strong vocals come to the fore. Know By Now is a amazing, simple song by Robert Palmer at the top of his game. Nobody But You is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Love Takes Time is the albums biggest surprise. Honeymoon - To me, this is the best song on the Honey. You Blow Me Away is a great opener for Honey. I now have Close To The Edge as one of my personal favorites. Closer To The Edge is the funkiest number on the album. This track is full of harmonies and gets Honey off to a relaxing start. This is probably my favorite song on the album. In Big Trouble the music gets its power. Dreams Come True one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard.
