There were many famous songs of Robert Johnson available. The Complete Recordings CD1 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Robert Johnson on ‘32-20 Blues’. If you love Robert Johnson as much as I do, then Robert Johnson The Complete Recordings CD1 is the CD for you!
Come On In My Kitchen (Take 1) is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Robert Johnson released so far. Come On In My Kitchen (Take 2) is simple, dignified and effective, Robert Johnson refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Cross Road Blues (Take 1) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. I came to like Cross Road Blues (Take 2). Dead Shrimp Blues (2:32) - awsome. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Kind Hearted Woman Blues (Take 1) is a song to enjoy for years to come. Kind Hearted Woman Blues (Take 2) - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Last Fair Deal Gone Down motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Phonograph Blues (Take 1) is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Phonograph Blues (Take 2) defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Ramblin’ On My Mind (Take 1) (2:53) a good melody. I love the melodic melody of Ramblin’ On My Mind (Take 2) and to this day it makes me feel good. Sweet Home Chicago gives good insight into the truths. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. They’re Red Hot was the first single release from the album The Complete Recordings CD1. Walkin’ Blues is astounding song though, very addictive. Robert Johnson is one of artists that allow his songs like When You Got A Good Friend (Take 1) to stand on their own and be heard. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in The Complete Recordings CD1.
