Richard Searles had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Richard Searles’s album Ancient Isles falls to No. 2 with 366,000, a sales slide of 59%. Richard Searles was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Richard Searles and Ancient Isles together. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Lament is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Once The Searcher gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Ancient Asles is a astounding, simple song by Richard Searles at the top of his game. Sylvan Revels is one of these floating songs. The Coronation is probably one of Richard Searles’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. The Shaman is the funkiest number on the album. In Song Of The Wind you won’t find any flashy solos. Emerald Dream is a great opener for Ancient Isles. Sheltering Stones (4:15) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Elfin Dance is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction.
