Self-described as New Age with lots of words, Rene comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Rene on ‘Best Friends’. On the Luxembourg charts, superstar Rene’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Rene is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Christin’s Serenade is a bit of a show-tune. In Search Of Kubla Khan - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. I think Sahara is the best song Rene has ever done. After about the third Share The Moment listen through, I began to believe this song is Rene’s essence. Regalia is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. With Grace and Glory is a great opener for Upon The Threshold. After few listenings I started to like Dance Of The Cherubs more and more. Forever Yours presents the perfect mix of instruments on Upon The Threshold. Music of Veni, Vidi, Vici is gentle, never overbearing. And Then I Loved You is really the reason why I recommend buying Upon The Threshold. Rene is hitting on all cylinders in With Grace and Glory (Reprise).
