It has been three years Renaud’ last studio CD, “The Meilleur Of Renaud 85-95″ which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Renaud on ‘Miss Maggie’. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Renaud’s album The Meilleur Of Renaud 85-95 falls to No. 2 with 251,000, a sales slide of 54%. The Meilleur Of Renaud 85-95 is not something you should pass up.
Only one song from The Meilleur Of Renaud 85-95 named La Peche A La Ligne really got me. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Renaud has astounded me with this amazing track. Fatigue - A strong beat. Album opener La Mere A Titi is a bright, upbeat ditty. Triviale Poursuite pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Me Jette Pas (4:38) - awsome. Renaud has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Within the first few notes of Marchand De Cailloux it’s perfectly clear that Renaud is living this song. P’tit Voleur is probably the highlight of the album. La Ballade Nord-Irlandaise very upbeat. Welcome Gorby is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Tout In Haut De Ch’terril - Check out that bassline! Renaud must have run out of lyrics on the next track C’est Quand Qu’on Va Ou?.
