This is the first studio album from Renaissance Noire since bad diagnosis in 1995. Self-described as Darkwave with lots of words, Renaissance Noire comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Lead single “Hymne Au Roi Soleil” and “Le Chant Des Solidudes” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Beyond The Circle Of Light is the best essence of Renaissance Noire.
Excellent vocals and musical performances. Au-Dela Du Cercle De Lumier is one of my favorite songs by Renaissance Noire. Sous Le Soleil De Novembre gives taste of what makes Renaissance Noire special as a musician. Desirs Das La Poussiere is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Beyond The Circle Of Light.
