There is no doubt that Reinhard Mey has talent. While no new Reinhard Mey album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1991 tour in South America. Self-described as Chanson with lots of words, Reinhard Mey comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Die Homestory is the album’s biggest hit, I think. In Lucianos Restaurant one is one of the better boring ones. Mein Dorf am Ende der Welt is possibly the best song Reinhard Mey has come up. Zwei Hauf dem Weg nach vorgestern is the albums biggest surprise. If you are a Reinhard Mey fan, you will love Kleiner Kamerad. Zwischen allen St is so unique, as each one of the songs is. I can’t stop humming along Ich hab meine Rostlaube tiefergelegt. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Allein from the beginning to the end. This song may be the most meaningful. Diplomatenjagd is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Mit Lust und Liebe (LiVE) CD1 have ended.
