This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Reel 2 real. Since completing 1994’s ‘I like to move it’, Reel 2 real fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Reel 2 real on ‘I like to move it’. One of Reel 2 real’s best albums yet.
Can you feel it is another strong production from Reel 2 real. Raise your hands is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. One life to live is another favourite of mine. The opening track The stuntman’s anthem is very much like you would expect from other albums. Erick ‘More’s anthem (can you feel it ) is pretty funky and mellow. Conway without a doubt is the standout song of Move it!. One listen to the sheer beauty of Wine your body was all I needed. R.E.X. is a striking and quite long song. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Toety, which shows, blatantly, how much Reel 2 real has evolved as a singer. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Although I like to move it (DJ Dero NRG remix) is very melodic it is far from sad.
