On On The Move! album, Real McCoy have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Real McCoy had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Since Real McCoy last CD (On The Move!) on SixSteps records back in 1990, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album is awesome.
She’s Gone is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Real McCoy is hitting on all cylinders in Serious. Que Pasa actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Real McCoy’s face. You have to get essence of the Pump Up The Jam Rap’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Pump Up The Jam is worth the money. On The Move (Intro) which is my favorite is a truly Real McCoy sounding song. I find myself hearing bits of Mc Coy’s House here and there throughout my waking hours. It’s On You (Allstars-Remix) was the first single release from the album On The Move!. I have all of Real McCoy’s tracks and It’s On You is probably the most his introspective effort. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with I Owe You Nothing. Get On Up is perfect. Don’t Stop (Single-Mix) as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. When listening to Don’t Stop, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Charming song, great melody. Be Yourself is a romantic if not formulaic ditty.
