This is the first studio album from Rancid since bad diagnosis in 1994. Lead single “Adina” and “As One” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Self-described as Rock: Punk-Rock with lots of words, Rancid comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. IT makes me wanna dance!
As One is one of the more up-tempo songs on Live At The Hollywood Palladiu. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. I’ve found myself listening to Black and Blue back to back and back many times. Disorder and Disarray is a great opener for Live At The Hollywood Palladiu. Rancid sings his heart out in Ghetto Box. Gun Shot is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. You have to get essence of the Harry Bridges’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. I Saw A Man is beautiful, yet underrated track. Maxwell Murder is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Live At The Hollywood Palladiu have ended. Nihilism is a gorgeous sing-along. Radio is outstanding work of Rancid. Rejected is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Roots and Radicals is just simply stunning. Salvation is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Vocals of Rancid in Sidekick really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Someone is Going to Die Tonigh - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Rancid. Someone is Goning to Die Tonig - A strong beat. One listen to the sheer beauty of St. Mary was all I needed. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. We’re Not Going To Take IT has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Rancid’s strong vocals come to the fore. You Don’t Care Nothin’ I just LOVE this mix!
