Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Rameau, Jean-Philippe on ‘Allemande’. It’s natural for Rameau, Jean-Philippe to take a stab at ‘Allemande’ considering her long-professed love for UB40. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Rameau, Jean-Philippe. Overall, I would highly recommend Nouvelles suites de pieces de clavesin (Blandine Rannou - clavecin) CD.
After you’ve listened to Courante, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Sarabande is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Rameau, Jean-Philippe ever produced. Les Troi Mains is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Fanfarinett is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. La Triomphante is so unique, as each one of the songs is. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Gavotte because the melody in the chorus is so good. Premier double de la Gavotte is beautiful, yet underrated track. Deuxieme double - My least favorite song on this album. Troisieme double catches attention immediately, Quatrieme double is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Sixieme double is a very catchy tune. Les Tricotets (rondeau) - I just love it. From the moment you listen to L’Indifferente you’re hooked. I like the agression and power of Menuet - Deuxieme Menuet. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Nouvelles suites de pieces de clavesin (Blandine Rannou - clavecin). Simple and heartfelt closing track Les Triolets closes Nouvelles suites de pieces de clavesin (Blandine Rannou - clavecin) on a high note. I can’t stop playing Les Sauvages. L’Enharmonique I just LOVE this mix! L’Egyptienne - This is a very lively song.
