fifteen years ago, Raison D’etre briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Spire Of Withhold”. There is so much to love about Raison D’etre, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Now signed to Raison D’etre’s Sparrow Records, the title track from second album “Enthraled By The Wind…” leads Raison D’etre’s back-to-school campaign. This is what good Industrial should be.
In Spire Of Withhold it becomes nowhere more obvious that Raison D’etre has yet to define own style. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. The Narrow Gate (12:53) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Sophrosyne is simply astounding. Spiraal - I just love it. Pathaway is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion.
