Futuregate carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Futuregate isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Lead single “Futuregate 1″ and “Futuregate 2″ start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Futuregate is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Futuregate 2 to me is the best you can get from Rainbow Serpent. Futuregate 3 as a highlight of Futuregate contains a ton of perfect melodies. Ancient Skies is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. It’s such an underrated song. Deep Blue is possibly the best song Rainbow Serpent has come up. Rainbow Serpent breathes new life into the music in Departure. Listening to Over The Edge you can hear that Rainbow Serpent has still amazing chemistry with band members. Voice of Rainbow Serpent in Waiting For Kippenhahn is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant.
