This disc has all of the essential Psychic TV classics. fifteen years ago, Psychic TV briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Fire Woman (cEvin Key Mix)”. This is one of the best Cd’s Psychic TV has dropped to date. Cold Blue Torch is the best essence of Psychic TV.
I loved Fire Woman (cEvin Key Mix) the first time I heard it. In Lady Maybe (Dub Me Maybe mix) Psychic TV spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Cold Blue Torch is I Believe What You Said (Leather Strip Version). Suspicious (Unfaithful Mix) is so unique, as each one of the songs is. This track is full of harmonies and gets Cold Blue Torch off to a relaxing start. I like I Believe What You Said (Spahn Ranch Mix) because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. I Believe What You Said (Oneirod Psychosis Mix) is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot.
