Lead single “Make War (Not Love)” and “Bad Blood” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. The Truth Hurts carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Pro-Pain on ‘Make War (Not Love)’. The Truth Hurts is not something you should pass up.
Best song on the album, love it. I believe The Truth Hurts is one of the most astounding, heartfelt songs ever written. Put The Lights Out is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after The Truth Hurts have ended. Denial - I like this one. Simple and heartfelt closing track Let Sleeping Dogs Lie closes The Truth Hurts on a high note. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Down In The Dumps hits the heart. The Beast Is Back is a medium tempo tune. Switchblade Knife is pretty funky and mellow.
