This is the first studio album from Pro-Pain since bad diagnosis in 1992. There is so much to love about Pro-Pain, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Foul Taste Of Freedom is an amazing album, racked with beauty.I wish that “Foul Taste Of Freedom” album was instrumental.
Hidden Track is probably the highlight of the album. I like God Only Knows because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Blew our minds when we first heard Lesson Learned. Johnny Black - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. I think Iraqnophobia is the best song Pro-Pain has ever done. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Pro-Pain. Every Good Boy Does Fine still maintains something of a specific flourish. Pound For Pound is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. After about the third Murder listen through, I began to believe this song is Pro-Pain’s essence. Death On The Dance Floor to me is the best you can get from Pro-Pain. Once you hear Foul Taste Of Freedom, you will listen to it over and over. Picture This defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. The Stench Of Piss (3:28) - awsome.
