Preisner’s Music is an amazing album, racked with beauty. Now signed to Preisner, Zbigniew’s ForeFront Records, the title track from second album “Preisner’s Music” leads Preisner, Zbigniew’s back-to-school campaign. Since Preisner, Zbigniew last CD (Preisner’s Music) on ForeFront Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Preisner’s Music.
Lac (Decalogue 1) - Check out that bassline! Commencement (Tu Ne Tueras Point) is pretty funky and mellow. Decision (Tu Ne Tueras Point) presents the exquisite mix of instruments on Preisner’s Music. Holocaust (Decalogue
one of the best in my collection. Nymphea (Decalogue 9) which is my favorite is a truly Preisner, Zbigniew sounding song. Marionettes (La Double Vie De Veronique) is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. In Pluie (Secret Garden) it becomes nowhere more obvious that Preisner, Zbigniew has yet to define own style. Voice and instruments in Jardin d’Hiver (Secret Garden) complement each other. Best song on the album, love it. Jardin d’Ete (Secret Garden) is the first taste of the new album. Lave (Mouvements du Desir) is Preisner, Zbigniew’s best work in years. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Preisner’s Music is Conte d’Amour (Mouvements du Desir). Cascade (At Play In The Fields Of Lord) is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. I like the agression and power of Damage (Fatale). Such hits like Homecoming (Pour l’Amour d’Une Femme) will leave you hooked. Bataille (Europa Europa) has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Aurore (Quartet In 4 Movements) - Preisner, Zbigniew first major hit. Lyrics of Labyrinthe (Opera Egyptien) are precise and evocative. Music and lyrics of Ciel (Opera Egyptien) creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Tango (Trois Couleurs / Blanc) very upbeat. Bolero (Trois Couleurs / Rouge…) is a medium tempo tune. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Enfer (La Double Vie de Veronique) because the melody in the chorus is so good. Preisner’s Music couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Song For The Unification Of Europe (Trois Couleurs - Bleu). From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
