Since Pop - Various Artists last CD (Oobu joobu cd 13) on Blue Note Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. Lead single “Oobu Joobu Intro” and “Mean Woman Blues” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This disc has all of the essential Pop - Various Artists classics. If you love Pop - Various Artists as much as I do, then Pop - Various Artists Oobu joobu cd 13 is the CD for you!
Mean Woman Blues is a fine track on any terms. It’s a great pleasure to listen to When The Wind She Blows Cool from the beginning to the end. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Comedy Biff Stantial (Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band; Comedy Biff Stantial (Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band)). Outro (Intermezzo; Outro (Intermezzo)) is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Oobu Joobu - Introduction Coming Up had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Coming Up - A catchy, upbeat tune. I Want Love - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Another Day - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Praying Mantis - Mambo Baby (2 Pieces From Rude Corner; Praying Mantis - Mambo Baby (2 Pieces From Rude Corner)) is pretty funky and mellow. I hope to keep hearing Pop - Various Artists works for a long time to come. Ann and Nancy Winson About Wasting Water has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Pop - Various Artists’s strong vocals come to the fore. What About Love is probably the highlight of the album. Pop - Various Artists emotions are reflected through Cook Of The House - Linda’s Recipe. Opening track Sheep May Safely Graze - Paul About Meat shows the best of Pop - Various Artists. Instrumental was the first single release from the album Oobu joobu cd 13. The first time I listened to Oobu Joobu Jingle I was struck by its marvelous sound. Best song on the album, love it. Oobu Joobu Jingle one of the best in my collection. Midnight Special is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Oobu Joobu Outro is nothing but pure genius. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Night Out (From An Acetate; Night Out (From An Acetate)) is a romantic if not formulaic ditty.
