After debuting at No. 1 last week, Poison’s album Native Tongue falls to No. 2 with 485,000, a sales slide of 68%. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Poison on ‘Native Tongue’. Native Tongue is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is The Scream
The song The Scream ending is my favorite… so catchy! Stand on Native Tongue is solid and easy to listen to. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Poison. Until You Suffer Some (Fire and Ice) - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Body Talk one of the best in my collection. Listening to Bring It Home you can hear that Poison has still amazing chemistry with band members. Poison sings 7 Days Over You in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Richie’s Acoustic Thang is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Ain’t That The Truth (3:25) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Native Tongue. When I listen to Strike Up The Band in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. In Ride Child Ride the music gets its power. A unique and uplifting song. I think Bastard Son Of A Thousand Blues is the best song Poison has ever done.
