ten years ago, Pizzicato Five briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Introduction “J.B. et Vietnam”". On the Lithuania charts, superstar Pizzicato Five’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Pizzicato Five’s debut, ‘By Her Majesty’s Request’, does not fit easily into one genre. Such great and happy songs.
Introduction “J.B. et Vietnam” is worth the money. I came to like Bellisima ‘90. In T.V.A.G. you won’t find any flashy solos. Lip Service as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Strong, powerful vocals of Pizzicato Five in SPY vs. SPY (from soundtrack to EROTICA Operation) are very impressive. Swedish Girl is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Feint Operation is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Top Secrets - A classic Pizzicato Five track. Bananas very upbeat. Simple and heartfelt closing track Top 40 closes By Her Majesty’s Request on a high note. Homesick Blues is a very catchy tune. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Satellite Hour because the melody in the chorus is so good. You’ll Never Get To Heaven is the albums biggest surprise. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Overall a nice softer song.
