Since Philip Glass last CD (Obras Maestras Cd2) on Virgin Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. Philip Glass was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Philip Glass and Obras Maestras Cd2 together. Lead single “The Photographer” and “Facades” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. One of Philip Glass’s best albums yet.
This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Obras Maestras Cd2. Dance I has a fun tempo. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Bed - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Dance Viii is my favorite song on Obras Maestras Cd2. Kuru Field Of Justice is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Philip Glass. Metamorphosis 3 - A classic Philip Glass track. To The Sea presents the exquisite mix of instruments on Obras Maestras Cd2. This track is clearly meant to showcase Philip Glass’s vocal abilities. The song Islands ending is my favorite… so catchy!
