Since completing 1991’s ‘Was It Worth It (7” Mix)’, Pet Shop Boys fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This album has some very good songs like Was It Worth It (7” Mix) and Was It Worth It (12” Remix). There is so much to love about Pet Shop Boys, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Exciting stuff.
Blew our minds when we first heard Was It Worth It (12” Remix). Miserablism (Electro Mix) is possibly the best song Pet Shop Boys has come up. Music For Boys (Part 3) is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Opening track Overture To Performance shows the best of Pet Shop Boys.
