This disc has all of the essential Paul Weller classics. Stanley Road isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. On the Ireland charts, superstar Paul Weller’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Stanley Road.
Porcelain Gods - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. The opening track I Walk On Guilded Splinters is very much like you would expect from other albums. You Do Something To Me (3:39) - awsome. Woodcutter’s Son had me crying as I was able to relate so well. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Strong, powerful vocals of Paul Weller in Stanley Road are very impressive. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. I was truly moved when I heard Out Of The Sinking. This song may be the most meaningful. Whirlpools’ End is just simply stunning. Such hits like Wings Of Speed will leave you hooked.
