After debuting at No. 1 last week, Paul Haslinger’s album Transfinity Of Numbers falls to No. 2 with 409,000, a sales slide of 76%. This is the first studio album from Paul Haslinger since bad diagnosis in 1995. nine years ago, Paul Haslinger briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Assembly Room Diaries I (1993)”. To me Paul Haslinger is the best band ever.
Assembly Room Diaries I (1993) - A strong beat. Worlds Of Doom (1995) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Anijam (Siggraph 1993). Octahedron 2 (1992) as a highlight of Transfinity Of Numbers contains a ton of gorgeous melodies. The Futurist (1994) stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Assembly Room Diaries 2 (1993) is the albums biggest surprise. Sonic Guidance (Siggraph 1992) - I just love it. In Digital Cinema (Siggraph 1995) you won’t find any flashy solos. Octahedron 1 (1992) is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Voice of Paul Haslinger in Exojam (Siggraph 1993) is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant.
