Self-described as Instrumental with lots of words, Patricia Spero comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It has been three years Patricia Spero’ last studio CD, “Harp Moods” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This is the first studio album from Patricia Spero since bad diagnosis in 1995. I Love Harp Moods from start to finish!
Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. The Windmills Of Your Mind had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Medley To A Wild Rose is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Harp Moods. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Valse Bleue is my favorite song on Harp Moods. Music and lyrics of Memory creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Music in Spanish Romance is cool as in all tracks of Harp Moods. Londonderry Air is a fine track on any terms. Autumn Leaves makes a person feel perfect. The opening track La Fille Aux Cheveux De Lin is very much like you would expect from other albums. With One Look is the song that really did it for me. Scarborough Fair I just LOVE this mix! Medley Gnossienes #1 is a song to enjoy for years to come. Musically If I loved you is superior to other tracks in Harp Moods. Raindrops stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. This is one hell of a track. Patricia Spero sings his heart out in Summertime.
