Lead single “Day Tripper” and “Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa (Sad Song)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Since Otis Redding last CD (The Otis Redding Dictionary Of Soul : Complete and Unbelievable) on EMI Records back in 1991, I have felt a massive void in my life. It’s natural for Otis Redding to take a stab at ‘Day Tripper’ considering her long-professed love for Ultra Dolphins. To me Otis Redding is the best band ever.
Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa (Sad Song) is one of the coolest songs Otis Redding has ever recorded. Otis Redding is one of artists that allow his songs like Hawg For You to stand on their own and be heard. I’m Sick Y’All is outstanding work of Otis Redding. Otis Redding sings Love Have Mercy in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. My Lover’s Prayer (3:12) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Lyrics of She Put The Hurt On Me are precise and evocative. Song Sweet Lorene is actually a funny song. Musically Tennessee Waltz is superior to other tracks in The Otis Redding Dictionary Of Soul : Complete and Unbelievable. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in The Otis Redding Dictionary Of Soul : Complete and Unbelievable. I like to sing along with Try A Little Tenderness, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.
