Since completing 1995’s ‘A Different Kind Of Blue’, OST Passengers fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of OST Passengers on ‘A Different Kind Of Blue’. I am not a real Soundtrack music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Passengers’ really is amazing. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Don’t judge Always Forever Now on the first listening. Beach Sequence is probably the most interesting track on Passengers. Corpse (These Chains Are Way T…) pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Music and lyrics of Elvis Ate America creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Ito Okashi is one of the more up-tempo songs on Passengers. Put Miss Sarajevo into car stereo for your highway driving One Minute Warning - arguably the best track on Passengers album. Music in Plot 180 is cool as in all tracks of Passengers. Once you hear Slug, you will listen to it over and over. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Theme From Let’s Go Native. I now have Theme From The Swan as one of my personal favorites. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Your Blue Room is a bit of a show-tune.
