John Digester has compared writing for Optimum Wound Profile’s new album to that on ‘Asphyxia’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. For older fans Asphyxia will put a massive smile accross your face. On Asphyxia album, Optimum Wound Profile have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Listening to Idol Spiel you can hear that Optimum Wound Profile has still amazing chemistry with band members. Overall a nice softer song. Juvenile Hate Machine is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Drugs Are No Fun - another great track from the Asphyxia album. Some of the arrangements found on Asphyxia are surprisingly edgy. After about the third Charm Offensive listen through, I began to believe this song is Optimum Wound Profile’s essence. This song is dynamic and dramatic. You-Coma - My least favorite song on this album. Aphasia - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Optimum Wound Profile. Apex Predator I just LOVE this mix!
