It has been fifteen years Oliver Shanti and Friends’ last studio CD, “Well Balanced” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Oliver Shanti and Friends’s debut, ‘Well Balanced’, does not fit easily into one genre. This is the first studio album from Oliver Shanti and Friends since bad diagnosis in 1995. Fight Without Fear is possibly the best song Oliver Shanti and Friends has come up. You Can Hear Them Dancing is excellent and different song. Heya Heya presents the excellent mix of instruments on Well Balanced. Axt Leman Sumix Sacred Mountain is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. What sets Four Circles Of Life apart is Oliver Shanti and Friends’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. We Could Have Been Brothers is the astounding blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. When I listen to Chief White Bear S Trance Dance in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Wilderness - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Well Balanced couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Amitabha. Medicine Mans Other Room hits the heart.
