On the Australia charts, superstar Ofra Haza’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Lead single “Tfila” and “Gabriel” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Ofra Haza has. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Ofra Haza ever.
Gabriel is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through The Golden Album Cd1. Music and lyrics of Shir A’hava Lahaial creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Hageshem is the more seemingly obscure song on The Golden Album Cd1 that bear up best to repeated listening. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. I think Shir Hafrecha is the best song Ofra Haza has ever done. Hai is a exquisite sing-along. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Yad Beyad very upbeat. I love the melodic melody of Misheo Holech Tamid Iti and to this day it makes me feel good. Azor Li - My least favorite song on this album. The opening track Sof Kaitz is very much like you would expect from other albums. Galbi is another favourite of mine. Goral Echad good vocals. Bait Ham is Ofra Haza’s best work in years. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Adama is almost impossible to review. Voice of Ofra Haza in Fantasy is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Fighter - To me, this is the best song on the The Golden Album Cd1. Nous Nirons Plus is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Ofra Haza released so far. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Kaitz is beautiful, yet underrated track. Rahamim defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone.
