Self-described as Metal: Death,Black with lots of words, Novembers Doom comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Amid It’s Hallowed Mirth carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. For older fans Amid It’s Hallowed Mirth will put a massive smile accross your face. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
I listened to the opening track Seasons Of Frost and liked it a lot. Although Sadness Rains is very melodic it is far from sad. Nothing Earthly Save The Thrill (5:52) a good melody. A fantastic track full of wonder. Overall a nice softer song. Chorus Of Jasmine - My least favorite song on this album. Bestow My Desire to me is the best you can get from Novembers Doom. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Voice and instruments in Amour Of The Harp complement each other. Novembers Doom sings A Dirge Of Sorrow in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved.
