Lead single “Radio Friendly Unit Shifter” and “Drain You” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Nirvana has. This disc has all of the essential Nirvana classics. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Drain You is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Breed. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. About A Girl is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Song Heart-Shaped Box is actually a funny song. Put Sliver into car stereo for your highway driving Best song on the album, love it. In Bloom - another great track from the William and Mary Hall album. Come As You Are makes a person feel astounding. After about the third Lithium listen through, I began to believe this song is Nirvana’s essence. Pennyroyal Tea sets the tone for the entire album. School is just simply stunning. Polly is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. The sound in Milk It is really warm and Nirvana’s signature voice is still very much present. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Territorial Pissings is such a amazing and optimistic song that things can get just better. All Apologies - I like this one. On A Plain - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. I like the idea behind Scentless Apprentice.
