I am not a real Indie music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Rio demos’ really is amazing. Since completing 1993’s ‘Heart Shaped Box’, Nirvana fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Rio demos isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Rio demos.
A fantastic track full of wonder. Music of Milk It is gentle, never overbearing. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Very Ape + Gallon Of Rubbing Alcohol. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Untitled, which shows, blatantly, how much Nirvana has evolved as a singer. First time I heard Untitled was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.This song stands out greatly from the others.
