This album has some very good songs like Intro and Drain You. This disc has all of the essential Nirvana classics. There is so much to love about Nirvana, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. I Love Paradiso, Amsterdam, NL from start to finish!
In Drain You it becomes nowhere more obvious that Nirvana has yet to define own style. Aneurysm is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Paradiso, Amsterdam, NL have ended. School is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Floyd The Barber defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Smells Like Teen Spirit is a good listen every once in a while. Voice of Nirvana in About A Girl is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. I was truly moved when I heard Polly. In Lithium the music gets its power. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. After about the third Breed listen through, I began to believe this song is Nirvana’s essence. Come As You Are is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Nirvana is hitting on all cylinders in Been A Son. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. On A Plain is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Nirvana is one of artists that allow his songs like Blew to stand on their own and be heard. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Love Buzz because the melody in the chorus is so good. Nice and different song.
