It has been eleven years Nirvana’ last studio CD, “Before and After The Storm” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Before and After The Storm is an amazing album, racked with beauty. There is no doubt that Nirvana has talent. This album is awesome.
Floyd The Barber is cool and different song. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Smells Like Teen Spirit is almost impossible to review. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Come As You Are. Voice of Nirvana in Breed is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. I like the idea behind Sliver. Molly’s Lips is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. As always, Nirvana’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. The End - I like this one. Blew is one of the coolest songs Nirvana has ever recorded. Here I Am is one of the more up-tempo songs on Before and After The Storm. This is one hell of a track. Scoff hits the heart. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Lithium - Nirvana first major hit. I think Been A Son is the best song Nirvana has ever done. I came to like On A Plain. Don’t judge Swap Meet on the first listening. In Negative Creep Nirvana is at his best. Smells Like Teen Spirit is probably the most interesting track on Before and After The Storm. Simple and heartfelt closing track Territorial Pissings closes Before and After The Storm on a high note.
