After seeing 01 - Call Of The Child, I had to have a good Nightnoise cd. This disc has all of the essential Nightnoise classics. ‘A Different Shore’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This is what good New Age should be.
Lyrics of 02 - For Eamonn are precise and evocative. I hope to keep hearing Nightnoise works for a long time to come. In 04 - The Busker On The Bridge it becomes nowhere more obvious that Nightnoise has yet to define own style. Still going through A Different Shore and coming to appreciate 05 - Morning In Madrid more and more with every listen. 06 - Another Wee Niece - A strong beat. Get A Different Shore and turn on 07 - A Different Shore if you are going to sip your wine late at night. 08 - Mind The Dresser is the more seemingly obscure song on A Different Shore that bear up best to repeated listening. 09 - Clouds Go By is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. 10 - Shuan has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album.
