It has been four years Nico’ last studio CD, “Desertshore” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Nico. Desertshore isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Great Experimental right here!
The Falconer to me is the best you can get from Nico. My Only Child is a very catchy tune. Le Petit Chevalier is another favourite of mine. Simple and heartfelt closing track Abschied closes Desertshore on a high note. Nico sings Afraid in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. I can’t stop playing Mutterlein. In All That Is My Own the music gets its power.
