Since completing 1991’s ‘The Choice’, Neurosis fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Short Wave Warfare is an amazing album, racked with beauty. For older fans Short Wave Warfare will put a massive smile accross your face. The Choice and Tomorrows’ Reality is really good.
You can find feelings on this piece of art. No Neurosis song has come close to capturing my attention as To What End did. Shallow is a strong cut, one of many. Blisters (6:16) - awsome. Self - Doubt marked the continuation of Neurosis in style evolution. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. I’ve found myself listening to Grey back to back and back many times. The sound in Black is really warm and Neurosis’s signature voice is still very much present. Common Inconsistences is a cool song and it grows on you. Don’t judge Pollution on the first listening. Once you hear Obsequious Obsolesence, you will listen to it over and over.
